We are looking to hire an enthusiastic Research Scientist with a background in dietary fibre, gut health or gut microbiology to work on a dynamic RIPEN hub project aiming to develop the next generation of novel pro- and prebiotic ingredients. Working with a start-up company this project will aim to explore the survival of probiotics from innovative fermented food ingredients through a simulated GIT tract.

We will aim to explore the impact of formulations on gut microbiome composition, the abundance of beneficial microbes and microbial metabolites. This will be achieved using the cutting-edge model gut systems available at Quadram Institute, combined with cutting edge omics technologies.
