This position is for a Research Assistant on an exchequer-funded research study on vitamin D at the Cork Centre for Vitamin D and Nutrition Research, School of Food and Nutritional Sciences.

The Cork Centre for Vitamin D and Nutrition Research at the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences, UCC https://www.ucc.ie/en/vitamind/ through its Joint Directors (Professor Kevin Cashman and Professor Mairead Kiely) are coordinating a project funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine to Develop a National Framework for Vitamin D Deficiency Prevention – A Multi-Actor Approach to Nutrition Security (VitD-DPI). The overall aim of the VitD-DPI project is to develop and validate an integrated policy-ready proposal for Vitamin D Deficiency Prevention in Ireland that is safe, effective, suitable, consistent with a sustainable healthy diet and acceptable to all stakeholders. This project involves two household-based dietary intervention studies that will provide the best possible evidence to develop food-focused solutions for vitamin D deficiency prevention among people in Ireland. We wish to hire a Research Assistant dedicated to supporting these two intervention studies.

Pay: €31,462-€41,443
