The Director of Science will provide strategic leadership for Safefood’s scientific and evidence functions across food safety, nutrition, public health, emerging food system challenges and other technical disciplines. The Director of Science will lead the development and application of high-quality scientific evidence to inform policy, programmes, communications and public health interventions across the island of Ireland. They will foster collaboration between scientific, policy, communications and operational functions to ensure that Safefood maintains its position as a trusted, evidence based organisation which works collaboratively to adopt a systems based approach to improving public health outcomes across the island of Ireland.
