Community Food Security Officer

As a key member of the Sustainable Food Team, you will work with the Sustainable Food Project Manager to coordinate and deliver food security initiatives across Monmouthshire. Your primary responsibility will be to support communities and households experiencing food insecurity, contributing to the Council’s tackling poverty agenda and the ambitions of the Local Food Strategy and Monmouthshire Food Partnership. This role is about more than food provision; it’s about understanding why people struggle to access nutritious food and working collaboratively with communities and partners to address the underlying causes. Working alongside the Sustainable Food Project Manager you’ll build relationships, gather evidence, and deliver targeted support that makes a real difference to households across the county.
Pay: £32,061-34,434 pro rata
Hours: 14.48 hours/week
