Food Partnership Coordinator
South Tyneside Open Collective for Good Food
The Food Partnership Coordinator leads the development, coordination and promotion of the STOC Good Food Partnership, a cross-sector collaboration working to create a healthier, fairer and more sustainable food system across South Tyneside. South Tyneside is now a Bronze accredited Sustainable Food Place, recognising the borough’s strong partnership approach to tackling food poverty, improving access to healthy food, supporting local food economies and reducing environmental impact. The Coordinator will build on the progress achieved to date, supporting delivery of the South Tyneside Sustainable Food Action Plan, strengthening partnerships, securing funding opportunities and embedding sustainable food principles across the borough. The role will act as a central connector between communities, voluntary sector organisations, businesses and statutory partners. The Coordinator will champion the STOC Good Food brand as the recognised hub for sustainable food activity in South Tyneside, ensuring that residents, organisations and stakeholders can access information, resources and opportunities to engage in the local good food movement. The Coordinator will represent South Tyneside at local, regional and occasionally national forums, contributing to wider conversations on sustainable food systems and supporting collaborative initiatives across the North East.
