Health Improvement Lead (Good Food Nation)

Working with a Greater Glasgow and Clyde remit, you will be a highly motivated individual with specialist expertise and/or experience in the field of public health nutrition who will project manage the development and publication of a Good Food Nation Plan for NHSGGC that meets the legislative requirements of the Good Food Nation Act 2022.

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively and collectively across food systems, the supply chain and with all parts of society to realise the ambition for a ‘Good Food Nation’. The post will provide leadership and coordination for a programme of work to consult, develop and publish a Good Food Plan for NHSGGC.

Based within the Health Improvement Team of the Public Health Directorate, the post will work closely with the NHSGGC Head of Health Improvement and Assistant Director of Facilities to ensure collaboration with partners and stakeholders including local authorities, HSCPs, local communities, young people and third sector organisations to consult, design, co-ordinate and develop a plan of activity to support the ambitions contained within the Act. The post will take a lead for developing partnerships with a range of agencies that shape the local food system across Greater Glasgow and Clyde with the aim to develop common priorities and actions to deliver the Good Food Nation outcomes.

Pay: £50,861-£59,159
