This position is for a Research Assistant on an exchequer-funded research study on Vitamin D at the Cork Centre for Vitamin D and Nutrition Research, School of Food and Nutritional Sciences. The Cork Centre for Vitamin D and Nutrition Research at the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences, UCC https://www.ucc.ie/en/vitamind/ through its Joint Directors (Professor Kevin Cashman and Professor Mairead Kiely) are coordinating a project funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine to Develop a National Framework for Vitamin D Deficiency Prevention – A Multi-Actor Approach to Nutrition Security (VitD-DPI). The overall aim of the VitD-DPI project is to develop and validate an integrated policy-ready proposal for Vitamin D Deficiency Prevention in Ireland that is safe, effective, suitable, consistent with a sustainable healthy diet and acceptable to all stakeholders. This project involves two household-based dietary intervention studies that will provide the best possible evidence to develop food-focused solutions for vitamin D deficiency prevention among people in Ireland. The first of these dietary intervention studies is now complete and we wish to hire a research assistant dedicated to supporting the second of these two intervention studies, which will involve families with children (aged 5 years and over), teens and adults.
Pay: €33,291-€ 43,372
